Makerere Sparks registered a third consecutive loss after their 35-48 defeat to Buddo Mystiques.

The Sparks came into the game with a mission to avenge their 50-41 loss against Buddo in round one and also to get back to winning ways but the high school side had other plans.

Following their recent 70-36 victory against JT Junior, Buddo wanted to increase their chances of making the playoffs and a win against Makerere was a perfect way to make their intentions known.

Buddo led the first quarter 13-7 but it was mainly down due to their defense.

Makerere was trapped and they had no way out.

They registered 17 turnovers in the first quarter and they missed 6 of 8 free throw attempts.

Sparks had just 8 attempts from the field which was less than half the turnovers they registered.

There was a huge improvement in the second quarter but Buddo maintained the lead and at halftime, it was 26-19.
