For a moment, people thought that Falcons would be able to upset Sommet having led the game for more than 30 minutes but as expected, they crumbled in the final minutes.
Sommet came in the game on the back of a 70-55 defeat against Victoria University and their solo goal was to secure the win.
Falcons on the other hand is still winless in the second round and have already been relegated so they were just playing to get a decent finishing in the final standing.
Sommet offense was still in a slump and Falcons led the first quarter 17-9.
Tables turned around in the second quarter with Falcons scoring just 5 points and letting Sommet back in the game.
With 2 minutes left, Sommet took their first lead of the game but Joseph Kavuma put Falcons back in the lead with a huge 3-point shot and at halftime, they led 22-21.
Sommet scored 2 quick baskets to start the third quarter but Falcons leveled up, retook the lead and were up by 4 with one quarter left.
Falcons tried to stay ahead but in the final 4 minutes of the game, they scored just 3 points while Sommet scored 12 and sealed the victory 59-50.

Falcons is yet to register a victory in the second round and they take on Nkumba Marines next on 3rd November at KIU.
Sommet has a 20-5 record and are still vying for the number one or number two seed.
