Just like Kamala Harris, Tropical Royals have “Turned the page” with their second-round performances and they are on their way to the playoffs.

The Royals won just 5 games in round one, and they were in the conversation of relegation, but out of the blue, the situation turned around.

They lost their first 2 second-round games against Miracle Eagles and Rezlife Saints and at that point, their situation was dire but they kept the faith.

Their back-to-back victories against Entebbe Archers and Old Tymers boosted their confidence and despite falling to Nkumba in the following game, they knew they had a chance.

Tropical Royals then went on a 6-game winning streak, and that put them in the conversation of the playoffs.

The walkover they got against UMU Flames boosted them a lot because that meant that their first-round loss against UMU was overturned in their favor.

Tropical Royals now have a 14-13 record and a victory or 2 could secure a playoff spot for them.

They face Sommet, Entebbe Knight Riders and Diamonds in the Sun in their final 3 games of the regular season.

Of the teams that are fighting for a playoff spot, Miracle Eagles had the best record (8-7) after the first round.

However, they lost 4 of their first 5 games in the second round and the situation started to feel worrying.

However, they managed to steady their ship and picked up 7 wins in the next 8 games.

They managed to end Victoria University’s 9 game winning streak but were also shocked by already-relegated Old Tymers.

Miracle Eagles now have a 15-12 record and have virtually sealed their place in the playoffs.

They take on Sommet, Nkumba Marines, and Diamonds in the Sun in their final 3 games of the season.

Entebbe Knight Riders finished the first round with a 7-8 record, which was very decent, and they have been in a similar situation all season long.

In the second round, they have won 6 games and lost 4 which is huge for them when it comes to the battle of a playoff spot.

They now have a 13-12 record which is better than Tropical Royals and slightly behind Miracle Eagles.

In their next 5 games, they play 3 of the top 5 teams ( Rezlife Saints, UPDF Tomahawks, and Sommet) as well as Entebbe Archers and Tropical Royals.

If Knight Riders can secure at least 3 wins, they could seat their lost.

Their game against Tropical Royals on 10th November will be very huge as the winner in that one will have put one foot in the playoffs.

Watoto (11-15) and Diamonds in the Sun (10-14) all still have a chance to make the playoffs but they have to win almost all their remaining games in order to have a chance.

Relegation is also still on the table and one of the teams above will be joining Kampala University, Falcons, Gulu Hawks, Entebbe Archers and Old Tymers.
