Entebbe Knight Riders defeated Tropical Royals 60-48 in a very crucial game that will have major consequences in determining who makes the playoffs.
Tropical Royals came into the game on the back to 2 defeats, against Victoria University and Sommet and they aimed at securing the victory in order to be 2 wins ahead of Knight Riders.
Entebbe Knight Riders came into the game on the back of defeat to Rezlife Saints 2 days before, and they very much wanted to get the win and gain the advantage.
Riders started hot as they went on a 10-2 run and they closed it with a 7-0 run to get an 8-point lead.
In the second and third quarter, both teams were going neck and neck.
Every time Tropical Royals looked like they had gained momentum, Riders cut it short and they just about stayed with a double-digit lead.
Tropical started the fourth quarter with 2 quick 3-point shots to make it a 6-point game but Knight Riders went on a 13-1 run to gain an 18-point lead.
With less than 5 minutes left in the game, it was always going to be very difficult for Tropical Royals to get back in the game and despite and 8-0 in the next about 2 minutes, they couldn’t overturn the deficit.

Entebbe Knight Riders have a 14-13 record and are in a good position if they win just one more game.
Riders face Sommet on the 13th, Entebbe Archers on the 16th, and finally, UPDF Tomahawks on the 17 November.
Any 2 wins will confirm them in the playoffs and if they lose all their 3 games and Tropical Royals lose their game, they will make the playoffs since they own the tiebreaker.
