Makerere Sparks finally qualified for the FUBA Division One playoffs and they won their final regular season game in style.

On Sunday, 10th November, the Sparks played Kibuli S.S, a side that had defeated them 58-35 in their season opener, and their only focus was to get revenge.

Makerere dominated most of the game and they managed to secure a 64-45 victory.

It was a perfect start for Makerere Sparks as they opened with a 12-0 start in the first 4 minutes and by the end of the first quarter, they led 18-6.

Both teams went toe to toe in the second quarter and at halftime, Makerere still led the game 33-20.

Shiphrah Kiranda went to work for Kibuli in the third quarter. She scored 12 points, including a 10-2  that brought Kibuli to within 6 points.

However, Makerere managed to steady their ship and close the quarter with a 7-3 run to take their lead back into double digits.

With less than 5 minutes, Kibuli trailed by 8 points but the Sparks made a 12-0 run to make it a 20-point game and they sealed their victory.

Kibuli S.S. finishes 9th with an 8-12 record.

Despite having the same number of wins as Makerere and 2 more wins than Seeta, Kibuli gave out 4 walkovers, against Angels (where they came late) and against Watoto and that means they have only 24  points.

After missing out in the last 2 seasons, Makerere Sparks made the playoffs and they will finish as the number 7 seed.

They will take on Our Savior Banyabo in the quarter-finals with game 1 expected to be on 23rd November.
