Uganda’s Captain Jane Asinde was named the MVP after putting up incredible performances at the Afrobasket Qualifiers to help Uganda secure their ticket to the continental championship.

Jane registered game-highs (19) in points and rebounds (12), 5 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks in the final to help Uganda defeat Egypt 74-63.

She’s 1 of the 3 people that averaged a double-double, the others being the South Sudanese duo, Rose Macuei and Adut Bulgak.

She scored double-digit points in 4 of the 5 games including dropping 20+ points twice and 2 double-doubles, the most important one coming in the final.

She averaged 18.8 points (3rd), 10.0 rebounds (3rd), 4.8 assists (4th), 2.4 steals (4th), 1 block (3rd), 23 efficiency (1st), and 47.1% FG (2nd).
