What was thought by many to have been an easy victory for the UCU Lady Canons against the Magic Stormers turned out to be a hotly contested arm wrestle.

After scoring just 50 points in their previous game against A1 Challenge, the UCU Lady Canons set out to right the wrongs against the Magic Stormers and after the first quarter, they had scored 30 points and the game 30:15.

During the second quarter, each team had their moments but the Lady Canons fire power reduced significantly and Magic Stormers cut the deficit to 10 points.

Momentum had greatly shifted towards the Magic Stormers and they made a 16:00 run to take a 6 point with 3 minutes left in the quarter.

The Lady Canons woke up from their slumber and closed the quarter with a 9:0 run to take a 3-point lead into rhe final period.

The Stormers kept within touching distance throughout the fourth quarter but they couldn’t catch the Lady Canons and the University side took a 69:64 victory.
