The race for the number two seed took a turn on Saturday 26th after Our Savior Banyabo made a dramatic second-half comeback to defeat Angels 41-36.

Angels led the game 10-8 after the first period and in the second, they made a 12-3 run in the final 4 minutes to establish a 9-point lead.

In the second half, Angels offense switched off completely and Banyabo had their way.

Angels scored just 4 points in the third quarter while they made 11 turnovers .

On the other hand, Our Savior registered 5 steals and managed to score 10 points to close the gap to 3 points as the fourth period approached.

The offensive struggles for Angels continued in the fourth quarter and they just couldn’t find a solution.

Banyabo made a 12-0 run in the first 7 minutes to establish a 9-point lead.

Angels did not score a point for the first 7+ minutes of the quarter and in that time, they had 10 turnovers.

Matter of fact, they turned over the ball on 5 consecutive possessions which summed up their second half performance.

Our Savior managed to see out the victory and that brought them closer to securing the number 2 position.

On Sunday, Our Savior returned to action and they managed to take care of business registering a 75-31 win against JT Junior Lady Jaguars.

Banyabo dominated the game and at halftime, they had amassed a 32-point lead.

They also had 4 players in double-digits,  Gimbo Barbra (13 pts, 4 reb, 4 ast, 4 stl), Sarah Nalumansi (20 pts, 4 reb, 3 stl), Vivian Onyami (15 pts, 8 reb, 2 ast, 3 stl, 1 blk) and Phiona Apio (12 pts,7 reb, 2 ast,  2 stl)

Our Savior have a 15-4 record and a victory in their final regular season game against Kibuli would seal them their.

Angels has an 11-5 record and have the tiebreaker against Our Savior.

If they will all their remaining 4 games and Our Savior lose to Kibuli, Angels would finish the regular season in second place.
