The UPDF Tomahawks handed Sommet a thorough beating in their final regular season game as they won it 84:39.
Ahead of the game, Sommet was in third place and had a chance of finishing as the number two seed with a victory.
However, things did not seem that way from the jump.
UPDF Tomahawks dominated and won the first quarter 23-11.
Despite losing by a lesser margin in the second quarter (18-15), Sommet was still chasing the game and UPDF led by 15 points at the halftime break.
It was a disastrous performance by Sommet in the second quarter as they scored just 9 points.
UPDF on the other hand took the game by storm and everything was working for them.
They scored 43 points in the second half a lone which was way more than Sommet scored the entire game.
The Tomahawks were very efficient in the second half with 11/19, 58% 2P, and 17/35, 48% FG.
UPDF out-rebounded Sommet 63-43 and they also dominated in terms of second-chance points with 21-6.

With this result, Sommet finished in third place with a 24-6 record and will face UMU Flames in the quarter-finals.
UPDF finished in fourth place with a 23-7 record and will take on Nkumba Marines in the quarter-finals.
As things stand, it is unknown when the games will be played as the referees have laid down their tools.
