The Mountain Dew UG 3×3 series will climax on Saturday 7th December with the Grand Finale held at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds.

The series had a nationwide tour with 7 qualifying stops across different regions, and it attracted 139 teams, 94 men’s and 39 ladies’ sides.

20 teams qualified for the Grand Finale and will be competing for the Grand Prize of 2 million Uganda Shillings for the winning teams and 1 million for the runners-up in both the men and the ladies.

Additionally, the MVP, Top Scorer, and Top Rebounder will each walk away with an extra 100,0000 plus a trophy.

On Thursday 5th, the teams were drawn into the various pools, 4 for the men and 2 for the ladies.

Format of Play

For the ladies, it will be a round-robin and the top 2 will advance to the semifinals.

The winners of Group A will face the runners up in Group B, and the winners in Group B will face the runners in Group A.

The Men, they will play a round-robin in their different groups, and the winners will automatically advance to the quarter-finals.

The second and third will then play in a knockout against teams from other pools and the winners will advance to the quarter-finals.

The Grand Finale will be happening at Lugogo Hockey Grounds on Saturday 7th and the gates shall be open by 8:00 am
