Sunday’s action in the NBL Game week 16 was one of the historic days where several records were broken and new ones set.
The UCU Lady Canons opened the day with a 105-22 victory against Kampala University.
The Lady Canons had a 23-point lead after the first quarter and by halftime, it was 29. The Lady Canons were hungry in the fourth quarter and they scored 36 points in that period, the most they have scored in a quarter this season.
Kampala University was restricted to less than 10 points in all four quarters, that is the first time a team has failed to score at least 10 in a quarter this whole season.
UCU Lady Canons broke the record for the largest winning margin with 83 breaking KCCA Leopards’ 79.
Millicent Otieno scored a game-high 29 points including 8 3-point shots. Those are the most scored by a player in game this season.
Tracy Namugosa and Sylivia Nakituuka both scored 18 points while Matrina Anyango (10 pts, 11 reb) and Sylivia Nantongo (10 pts, 11 reb) both completed a double-double.
Despite trailing after the first quarter, the KCCA Leopards managed to get the job done against A1 Challenge.
Having scored just 5 points on Saturday, Perus Nyamwenge was standing on business and she delivered in great fashion for her team offensively.
She finished with a game-high 24 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 0 turnovers.
Stella Kiberenge had 13 points and 5 rebounds while Faith Apio finished with 10 points and 3 rebounds.
Despite Sarah Namale putting up a phenomenal performance, Nabisunsa did not have enough to take down the JT Lady Jaguars.
The Lady Jaguars had one of their good offensive days, scoring 79 points and restricting Nabisunsa to just 29.
Sarah Namale had 14 points, 21 rebounds, 2 blocks and 3 steals.

The Lady Jaguars had 3 players in double digits, Mary Priscilla Nambogo leading the charges with 16 points, Brenda Kayaga 14 and Sarah Ageno 12.
The JKL Dolphins won their third game of the second round after overcoming Our Savior 67:65.
During clutch time in the fourth quarter, the JKL Dolphins had the lead and all signs pointed to a win for them. However, they only scored 7 points and missed 8 of their attempts.
Our Savior on the other hand managed to get a couple of baskets, Joseph Wacha with 2 3-point shots and a layup which tied the game and sent it to overtime.
With 1:50 left, the game was tied and JKL made a 6:0 run to establish a relatively solid lead. By the time Our Savior tried getting back in the game, it was done and dusted.
Martin Buluma was flirting with a triple-double as he finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks.
Sam Gombya had a statement performance, 11 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks
4 3-point shots for Keith Mugabe and he finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
Kenneth Mesho recorded a double-double 15 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals while Joseph Wacha finished with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.
The final game of the game week was worth the wait as it gave us action like never seen before.
The KCCA Panthers had to secure the win in triple overtime after Hollywood-esc drama unfolded at the end of the fourth quarter and the second overtime.
Davis Asiimwe let off the hook after a costly mistake that could have won the game for the Jaguars but Kevin Moru made just 1 of 2 free throws.
George Agasi had a game-high 25 points, 11 rebounds and 1 steal. Kevin Moru (16), Were Mark (13) and Ian Lubwama (10) were also in double digits for the JT Jaguars.
4 of the KCCA Panthers players scored 10+ points. Emmanuel Odongkara (23 pts, 8 reb, 6 astl), Davis Assimwe (12 pts, 6 reb, 2 ast) while Rin Tueny Mabor (12 pts, 16 reb, 3 ast) and Stephen Otoa (14 pts, 12 reb, 3 ast) each completed a double-double.
