The 2026 USSSA Games are set to start on 29th April at Seroma Christian School in Mukono.

This year, there are a lot of teams to look out for and St Noa’s title defense may be tough.

Kitende’s new look

National powerhouse Mary’s Kitende made a couple of changes to their coaching stuff. They added Huzaipha Ssentogo (who recently completed FIBA level One) and Junior Gazelles Head Coach Jonathan Egau.

This change is a breath of fresh air as they try to push to regain their dominance.

Kitende also added top prospect Shiphrah Kiranda and she is expected to help steer them to glory.

Can Nabisunsa push for the title?

For long, Nabisunsa has been coming close but never quiet getting the job done. This year, they have the 2025 NBL MVP Mpoza Abigail and a number of experienced players.

Abigail, together with Martha Yikiru, Captain, Abifaith Musiimenta, and Auma Joy form the core of the team. The quartet has a wealth of experience should be good enough to lead the team when the right time comes.

Nabisunsa added youngster Melissa Kisakye, who was named the MVP in the Kampala Region Qualifiers. Melissa is a lethal shooter and will cause opponents lots of problems.

Buddo S.S will be under the leadership of former U18 Youngster Angela Auma.
