The Namuwongo Blazers defeated the City Oilers 81-80 in a nerve-wracking battle that was decided with 1 second in the game.
With 2:09 left in the fourth quarter, Nam Blazers led the game 73-72 after a layup by Moses Mugisha.
However, Edgar Munaba went to work for the Oilers.
He scored 6 points and the Oilers were up by 3 with 1:23 left in the game.
Innocent Ochera then scored what would be a very crucial 3-point shot to tie the game with 69 seconds left.
On the next Oilers possession, Ben Komakech decided to go to work in the paint but James Okello and Tonny Drileba put a roadblock and they managed to get a stop.
With 31 seconds to go, James Okello scored a put back which gave the Nam Blazers a 2-point lead and sent their fans in a frenzy.
However, Edgar Munaba was not done.
He went to work once again, beating Richard Ongom and finding space by Tonny Drileba, who was on help, to score a beautiful basket which tied the game with 9 seconds left.
After the timeout, the Blazers had a chance to win the game. They seemed to take their time but with one second left, Okumu Demunu fouled Moses Mugisha and he won the game on the free throw line.
Coming into this game, the City Oilers were without Titus Lual (injury till the second round), Fayed Baale (injured), and Ivan Muhwezi, who was away due to an emergency.
However, the Oilers found a way of playing and by the end of the first quarter, they led the game 17-10.
Ben Komakech carried them for most of the game and he scored very crucial baskets for them.
For the Blazers, Jimmy Eanbu showed us that he still has a lot to give. He kept finding his way to the basket, scored 7/11, was fouled 7 times, the most in the game and he scored 7/11 from the line.

The Namuwongo Blazers return to action on Wednesday 26th as they host the Victoria Crocs at Abja Park
City Oilers will be in action on Friday 28th as they take on the JT Jaguars.
