The Uganda U18 Boys, the Junior Silverbacks made it back-to-back wins after being in control of the game from the second quarter onwards and winning the game 78:49 in the end.
Uganda trailed 11:15 after the first quarter but the response in the second was great. They limited Rwanda to just 9 points and scored 19 to take an 8-point lead into the halftime break.
Uganda came out hot in the third quarter, as they made a 7-0 run to make it a 15-point game.
Rwanda scored just 2 points in the final minutes of the quarter and Uganda scored 22 points to make it a 31-point game.

With 6:33 left in the game, Uganda had built a 38 point lead, the highest of the game but Rwanda managed to cut it to 29 as the game winded up.
Talking points
The players who were cleared late added a lot of firepower to Uganda’s offense. Mubiru Nkugwa and Kagaba Musime led Uganda in scoring while Ssenyange Eli scored 6 points in 7 minutes.
The 1v1 coverage on defense was effective. All the players knew what was expected of them and it’s on few occasions that defenders were beaten with ease.
The help defenders also did quite well, despite a couple of fouls here and there.
