The Namuwongo Blazers will be back in action on Wednesday, 2nd  April, as they host the JKL Dolphins at Abja Park in Naalya.

In their previous game, they defeated Victoria University 99-63 and set season records in terms of 3-point shooting.

The big question is, can they go for 100 points?

The Namuwongo Blazers face a JKL Dolphins side that made numerous signings and is looking to finish in the top 8 and get into the playoffs.

In their previous game, they defeated Livingstone 67-48 after a strong first half where they established a 20-point lead.

This time around, they face a Namuwongo Blazers team that has a lot of experience and looks scary against any opponent they face.

After scoring 18 3-point shots in a game, can the Blazers surpass that and get 20 or even more?

Expectations?

Many people are expecting Namuwongo to come out strong from the onset.

Given the performance in their last game, the fans will be yearning for 100 if the Blazers are close to the mark by the end of the third period.

In a discussion with one of the Victoria University players, he revealed that Namuwongo exploited their weaknesses to the max, and that is how they managed to put 99 past them.

For the case of JKL, they have some weaknesses as seen from their opening 2 games and they will need to find solutions.

JKL played a lot of individual basketball in their first game of the season and against Namuwongo,  that is not the best way to go.

They need to find creative ways of getting everyone involved and creating the best opportunities for the scorers.

The other big issue they faced in that game was understanding how to use Elvis Mpeti.

Elvis made 7 turnovers, with most being from ball-handling errors.

Every time Sommet pushed him out of the paint, and he got the ball; he made mistakes, and you’d like to believe that the Blazers will employ a similar strategy.

JKL has to find ways of feeding Elvis at the low post so that he can get some ‘easy’ baskets for himself.

If they do otherwise, it may end up being a long night for them.

For JKL, they just need to be aggressive on the defensive side.

The Blazers will try to shoot a couple of 3-point shots and being aggressive, especially on the perimeter, will be key in stopping/slowing them down.

Namuwongo needs another big win to show that they mean business more so on the home court.

Will they crack that 100-point mark?

JKL Dolphins need a victory against a big side like Namuwongo in order to reassure themselves about their capabilities.

Who wins? We shall be finding out by 11:00 pm.
