The Namuwongo Blazers once again scored 90+ points in a game as they defeated JKL Dolphins 91-79 on Wednesday 2nd at Abja Park.
This was the second consecutive game at Abja Park in which the Blazers scored 90+ points, and as things stand, they are a scary opponent to face.
Coming into this game, the Blazers had put 99 past Victoria University in their last game and optimism was high that they could go for 100 points.

The JKL Dolphins had won their previous game against Livingstone and were out to get a big result against Namuwongo.

In the opening minutes of the game, Namuwongo struggled to finish.
They scored just 4 points in the first 5 minutes but picked up as the game went on.
However, JKL led the game 16-12 and for a moment, many thought they’d have a chance of upsetting the Blazers.
However, hell broke lose for JKL in the second quarter as Namuwongo pounced on them over and over.
To start the second quarter, JKL made 3 consecutive turnovers, and on each of those occasions, Namuwongo scored, and the game was tied, but most importantly, there was a huge momentum shift.
For every 6-8 points that the Blazers scored, JKL responded with 2 and the lead lead grew to 18.
JKL scored 8 of their 14 points from the free-throw line and Kabangu scored 8 points in the quarter.
Namuwongo scored 15 of 29 field goal attempts in the second quarter and they finished with 36 points in the quarter.
JKL put up a fight in the third quarter but despite their efforts, the deficit was high and difficult to overcome.
They scored 25 points but still trailed by 17 with the final 10 minutes of the game to come.
In the previous game, the Blazers scored 33 points in the fourth quarter alone.
With them being 28 points away from the 100-point mark, the fans thought that maybe they could be able to hit that milestone.
However, they scored 8 points in the first 5 minutes of the quarter and scoring 20 points in 5 minutes was going to be a big ask.
There was just 1 field goal scored in the final 3 minutes of the game and it t ended 91-79.
