Drama unfolded on Monday 21st, in the game between table leaders Namuwongo Blazers and Livingstone as the referee decided to abandon the game mid-way through.
With 4:41 left in the third quarter, the Namuwongo Blazers led Livingstone 47-28 but what happened after, pure drama!
The referee, Opolot David called a foul against Livingstone’s Elly Okello in front of their bench.
This call rattled them as they thought it was going to be an offensive foul called against Nam Blazers’ Joel Lukoji instead.
Their coach, Jeff Omondi lost his cool and went to the referee.
He was charged with a technical but kept arguing, rather aggressively, with the referee.
He was charged with another technical, and this meant he had been ejected, but still, he did not stop.
It felt like he had wanted to go physical, but it never reached that level.
At some point, the Chairperson Competitions Council Mr Donnan Byabazire, and Edwin Beinomugisha had to step in to strain him.
Shortly after, he was subdued and he exited the ground.
To the surprise of many, the referee, David Opolot also exited the ground.

There was a feeling that he maybe wanted to cool off a bit but when he returned, he collected his bag and left.
It is unknown why he left, but he never returned and the game stalled for a long time.
After a long wait, referee Lewis Malinga stepped in and the game went on.
Prior to all this, 3 ejections had already been made after James Okello and Diopa Durocher attempted to fight, Akris Ainomugisha being a victim of circumstance.
Namuwongo Blazers went on to win the game 81-47.
FUBA or UBRA has yet to issue a statement about what happened, but one thing for sure is that these are some of the things that hold back the league.
At the beginning of the season, FUBA promised to suspend coaches for their conduct and referees for not officiating well.
Shall we be seeing action taken after what was displayed?
