The Lady Cranes were sensational at the Stone City 7s where they put up magnificent individual and team performances.
The team has been in camp for the last 1 and half months in preparation for the Africa Women Sevens in Tunisia later this year a tournament which will double as qualifiers for the 2024 Olympics in France.

The team was divided into 2, both teams reaching the finale with ease, and the Lady Cranes 1 being the eventual winners.

The Lady cranes 1 side seemed to be particularly strong going past every team with ease and also overrunning their counterparts Lady Cranes 2 in the finale.

In an interview with the Coach Charles Onen, he revealed that “the team hasn’t been having game time against opposition, just playing against each other on Sunday”.
He also hinted on a fact that the team could get more games so that the girls can get playing it. As a matter of fact, the girls are going to be part of their parents clubs for the next circuit in Kitgum.
He was also impressed with his team, he said “The girls have shown that they are implementing what we have been working on”.
He however expressed a few concerns “here and there, we can see the fitness levels are not where we want, but we shall get there with time”.
Coach Onen will have to make tough decisions on who will make the final team as most of the ladies were phenomenal and minds blowing.
