Ndejje Angels has won their appeal in the FUBA arbitration tribunal and had their wins against City Oilers and Our Savior reinstated.
FUBA Competitions Committee had earlier on scrapped Ndejje Angels victories against City Oilers and Our Savior and awarded walkovers to the two teams on the basis that Ndejje Angels had “apparently” fielded an ineligible player in Gatwang Thuok thus violating Article 3.01 of the FUBA Competitions rules amd regulations on player eligibility.

It was asserted that Thuok had not been fully cleared but the Ndejje Angels management also said that they had fulfilled all the necessary requirements most notably the Letter of Clearance.

After that ruling, Ndejje Angels and Gatwang Thuok were fined $150 and $100 respectively and their wins rescinded. On top of that, Thuok was also given a 2 match ban and thus missed the game against KIU. It is from here that the Angels decided to appeal in the Arbitration Tribunal and have now won their appeal.
Fuba has yet to release an official statement on the matter but word has it that the decision has already been made.
Consequences
Ndejje had dropped to the last position and had been looking to fight to avoid relegation but with this news, they will be back in contention for a playoff position.
Gatwang Thuok had already served one game, he missed the game against KIU Titans were Ndejje Angels lost and arguments will arise that had he been available, it would have been a different story. He will however be available for selection on Wednesday as the Angels take on KCCA Panthers in a must win game.
It is unknown if the Ndejje Angels and Gatwang had already paid the fine, if they had, the fine will have to be reclaimed but if they hadn’t, they will not be paying anything.
The loss against City Oilers will also stand and that means the Oilers will not go unbeaten in rhe regular season.
