The highly-anticipated National Handball Super League roared back to life after a thrilling first-leg hiatus. Fans were treated to a heart-pounding clash between third-placed Prisons Handball Club and the underdogs fifth-placed Mak Bulls.
Mak Bulls came out of the gates blazing, amassing a remarkable 7-goal lead at halftime, showcasing their impeccable finishing skills and rock-solid defense.

Tables turned around in the second half as Makerere became very sloppy with many turnovers hence Prisons capitalized and closed the gap.
Drama unfolded in the dying seconds of the game when Kongo Ibrahim of Prisons capitalized on a free throw, catching Mak Bulls’ keeper out of position and sending the ball into an empty net to secure a last-minute draw.
Amidst this epic showdown, Matovu’s goalkeeping heroics cannot be overlooked, but the spotlight undoubtedly belonged to Bemigisa Keith, who left the court as the game’s standout player, thanks to his extraordinary offensive contributions. It was a contest that left fans on the edge of their seats and will be remembered for years to come.
This is the closest Makerere has come to beating Prisons and this game will forever be engraved in their memories due to the opportunity they lost.
To round up the handball action elsewhere, Kawanda S.S dominated Makerere Ladies 58-22, while Kyambogo triumphed over Kyengeza with a commanding 42-24 victory. Kyambogo then went head-to-head with Police in a nail-biting encounter, narrowly losing 30-31.
