The living-stone was left lifeless after the Jaguars final bite, which was straight to the Jugular depleted them of any life left.
With 6 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Livingstone have the possession and a possibility of winning in with the last shot, just like in game 1.
Game 1’s hero Oscar, however is unable to find the target on the inbound and Were Mark gets the steal. He passes the ball to Benjamin Shango, who makes attacks the rim and finishes it with no time left.
Some people were arguing, did he get it off on time? Well, i guess we’ll never know because in Uganda, there is no video review to challenge/ check the umpire’s call.

It was a very even first half, the Jaguars with just a 1 point lead but things changed drastically in the third quarter for the Stone City side.
Livingstone allover a sudden lacked the edge, they scored only 2 Field Goals the entire quarter and to make it worse, they missed all their attempted free throws (4).
The Jaguars on the other hand were able to capitalise very much, getting more possessions after picking offensive rebounds and from the Livingstone turnovers.

Livingstone worked on their problems from the third quarter and in the fourth, they returned in beast mode. They went on a 14:0 run and took a 2 point lead.
The Jaguars on the other hand seemed to have taken a nap after the break, they scored only made just 1 Field Goal in the first 6:30, and made 3 turnovers in that time.
Livingstone came back in the game, but Jaguars made a 5:0 run to finish the game and ultimately won the game.
Talking points
The fighting spirits from both teams was a spectacle to watch. Livingstone coming off a stinking third quarter and taking the lead also surprised the Jaguars, but their Jaguars also realizing that the game was still there for the taking and going for it, is highly commendable.
The Jaguars continue to struggle from the 3 point line. This was one of their best weapons, particularly Were Mark and Kevin Moru. The two haven’t shot well from deep in the playoffs, but the Jaguars seemed to have found a way to compensate for that.

Benjamin Shango and George Agasi have been going to work a lot in the paint. Livingstone need to unlock Diopa Durocher, if they want to have threats on all fronts. With Bismarck Okot not firing in game 2, it was always going to be a win for the Jaguars in the painted area.
The bench contributions for both teams is still very low and it’s a bit worrying. As it is known allover, the bench gives you a new game plan and just like defense, it can also win you championships.
Team stats

Bruce Okullo 15 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast

The 2 sides will have no resting day, as they meet on Sunday for game 3. This will be a very crucial game, because the winner will have a huge advantage.
