For the second year in a row, a Uganda Cup semi final tie is decided on a coin toss.

In 2022, Heathens were the beneficiaries after the game had remained in stalemate even after overtime.

The Lifeguard Rams were the beneficiaries this time round making history, with their first Uganda Cup Finals qualification.

Having been 13 points down half way the second half, it was very hard to see the Rams coming back, but the stars had aligned for them and they managed to tie the game 16:16 and force overtime.

The game was still tied after extra time, each team having scored a penalty to make it 19:19.

The game was then supposed to be determined on discipline basis (number of cards) and it also turned out that both teams were tied.

Finally, the Coin toss. The most dreadful experience, one which nobody wants to partake in, but the captains have the burden/honor to make the big decision on behalf of their team.

The Lifeguard Rams managed to get the last laugh and what a way to make history. First semi final appearance and then qualifying for the Finals.

The Lifeguard Rams shall be taking on the Platinum Credit Heathens, who defeated the KCB Kobs, on 26th with the venue yet to be determined.

Both teams already met during the group stages and the Heathens managed to get the win in feisty game.

The Rams will be looking to make this Uganda Cup even more memorable with a win in the finals.
