The KCCA Panthers returned to winning ways after thumping the Victoria Crcocs 68-43 on Sunday 27th at YMCA.
Ahead of this game, the KCCA Panthers had given up 46 points in the paint in their 83-70 defeat to the JT Jaguars and righting that wrong was one of the key things to do in that game.
Victoria Crocs was also on the back of a ‘shock’ defeat to Sommet and this was an opportunity for them to get back to winning ways and get closer to being in the top 4.
KCCA made an 11-o 0 run in the first quarter to establish a double-digit lead and they never looked back.
At the end of the first quarter, the Panthers led the game 23-14 and they seemed very determined to get the job done early.
In the second quarter, their defense went up.
They limited Victoria Crocs to 0 field goals in the final 6 minutes of the half and just 2 points, all frim free throws.
The Crocs were limited to just 3/17, 17% FG and to make it worse, they also failed to capitalize on the free throw line, missing 4 of the 6 attempts.
By halftime, KCCA Panthers led the game 38-22 but they weren’t done yet.
In the third quarter, they maintained the good work on defense and Victoria couldn’t get going.
The Crocs scored just 3 field goals from 21 attempts.
In the meantime, KCCA scored 14 and increased their lead to 21 points with the fourth quarter left to play.
It was a tough ask for the Crocs to make a comeback in this game and the Panthers went on to win 68-43.

They return to action on Wednesday 30th as they take on the City Oilers at Lugogo.
The KCCA Panthers have managed to once again bounce back after a defeat and now have 6-2 record, the third best record in the league.
They take on the JKL Dolphins next on Saturday 3rd May at YMCA.
