Kurt Curry was the man of the moment as he dropped a season-high 37 points to help City Oilers win 90-83 in game 2.

After dropping just 1 point in the first half of game one, Kurt was in business mode in game 2.

He scored all his first 6 field goals in the first quarter and closed it with 18 points.

In the fourth quarter, he also scored valuable free throws and helped guide his side to victory.

Coming into this game, the Namuwongo Blazers had lost game one 70-76 amd needed a positive result.

After the first 3 minutes, they led the game 11-1. They were going to the basket and got points.

However, the Oilers brought on Titus Lual and he helped alleviate the damage caused by the Nam Blazers.

On the other, Kurt Curry became a difficult problem for the Blazers to solve.

He was scoring at a high rate and seemed unstoppable with 18 in the first quarter.

At the end of the quarter, the Oilers led the game 24-23 after a debatable  buzzer beater by Rogers Dauna.

The defining moment of the third quarter came towards the end.

Fayed Baale sunk 3 consecutive triples to give City Oilers a 6-point lead.

The Blazers tried to get some shots up but missed all despite having some good looks.

At the end of the half, Oilers led 43-39 and all signs were points to an electrifying second half.

Anthony Chukwubuka and Innocent ran the show in the third quarter but one man, Ben Komakech brought the Oilers back in the game.

Anthony was driving to the baskets and causing problems in the paint, he scored 8 points.

Innocent Ochera also found his shot. His confidence increased and he managed to knock down 4 3-point shots.

Namuwongo led by as many as 9 points but the veteran, Ben Komakech buried 3/3 from 3 in the final 3 minutes.

The final shot to the end the quarter was the most hurting. Innocent Ochera ran to cover him but slipped and fell, in a split second, Ben received and immediately launched.

That brought the game to 69-64 with the Nam Blazers in the lead.

After the shot going in, James Okello was in disbelief, he shook his head and looked in awe of Ben.

One defining moment at the start of the fourth quarter was the foul that Arthur Wanyoto committed on Chad Bowie as he attempted from the 3-point line.

This was very debatable as he appeared to have got it clean but the referee thought otherwise.

In that moment as Arthur was on the floor in frustration, he was given a technical foul.

So many are asking till now, what it was for, but that won’t matter because Chad made all the 4 free throws and tied the game.

The game was very close with a number of lead changes but Chad  and big Mo made some layups late in the game make it a 3-point l3ad for the Oilers.

Drama then ensued.

Before an inbound, Fayed Baale fouled Innocent Ochera and a technical foul was awarded.

Ochera made it to make it a 2-point deficit but what happened next was pure drama.

The Namuwongo Blazers did north get off a clean pass on the inbound and a turnover was made.

There was a debate as to whether an Oilers player touched the ball before it went out but the referees did not seem to agree.

After that, Kurt Curry delivered the dagger. He dribbled (passing time) for like 15 seconds, passed to Chad who returned it back to him with a behind the back pass.

He did justice to the pass as he nailed a triple which was also the final nail in the Nam Blazers coffin.

Not so much was left in this game and the City Oilers secured a 90-83 victory.
