The 2025 Women’s NBL season came to an end on Sunday 2nd November after the JKL Lady Dolphins edging the JT Lady Jaguars 69-68 in game 4 to win the series 4-1.

On that same day, the MVP(s) were announced, the top performers in different categories and the Team of the Seaeon.

MVP (Regular Season)

Contrary to the years before were only one MVP was awarded, this time around, 2 were selected.

One for the regular season and the other for the playoffs.

Nabisunsa youngster, Mpoza Abigail was named the MVP of the (regular) season.

Abigail scored the most points in the regular season (338) and averaged 19.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals.

In the fourth games that Nabisunsa won, Mpoza averaged 25.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.75 steals.

Playoffs MVP

Hope Akello was named the MVP for the playoffs and she had an insane run.

She scored 10+ points in 11 of the 12 games she played in the playoffs.

She scored a total of 186 points (15.5 per game) in the playoffs.

Additionally, she had a total of 140 rebounds (11.6 per game), 39 assists (3.25 per game) and 19 steals (1.58 per game).

Top Scorer

Hope Akello 489 points (15.3 PPG)

Top Rebounder

Most Assists

Uwineza Ninette 126 (6 APG)

Team of the Season (FUBA)

Mpoza Abigail made the team for the first time in her career.

She averaged 19.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.7 steals.

Abigail was very integral to how Nabisunsa played and she elevated them.

Evelyne Nakiyingi won yet another championship and helped in the point guard position for JKL.

She averaged 9.5 points, 6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals.

Shillah Lamunu was the heart of the UCU Lady Canons and every time she was on a the floor, they knew she was capable of doing something magical.

Her involvement in the 3×3 also helped her improve on her skill set and confidence and that was very evident when she represented the Lady Canons.

She averaged 7.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 3.6 steals.

Shillah Lamunu

Hope Akello was very consistent from the start of the season to the end.

When she was on the floor, JKL outscored opponents by 14.7 points. That is how impactful she was and if she was not on the JKL roster, they would have had much difficulty winning the Championship.

Her impact offensively and defensively was felt and it is not wonder that she received numerous MVP chants.

Hope averaged 15.3 points, 12 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.2 steals.

Mercy Batamuliza made the team of the season for the second season in a row.

She was also named the Defensive player of the year.

Batamuliza is one of those players who have been putting in the work and the results speak for themselves.

She averaged 8.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 2.8 steals.
