In a thrilling turn of events, the National Handball Super League’s 21st and 22nd gamedays unfolded against the backdrop of a mesmerizing change in location for the second weekend, as the iconic Police Children’s School court in Kibuli played host, providing a nostalgic contrast to the familiar Old Kampala Arena. And, I must emphasize, it exceeded all expectations.

The spotlight of the weekend shone brightly on the clash between Ndejje University (W) and Kyengeza, a match that will be etched into the annals of handball history. Ndejje University (W) came out like a mythical dragon, spitting fire all over the court. They obliterated their opponents, leaving the spectators in awe.

In a performance that made it seem like men were playing against women, Ndejje University (W) amassed a staggering total of 70 goals. Kyengeza, on the other hand, could only manage to put up 45 goals. This astonishing clash of titans resulted in a jaw-dropping total of 115 goals, a record-breaking achievement for this season, setting a new benchmark for both women and men’s games.

The theme of punishing defeats persisted in other fixtures as well. Kyambogo University (W) faced a formidable Prisons (W) team, which proved to be a tough adversary as they secured an 18-47 victory in favor of Prisons. Not stopping there, Prisons continued their impressive form by overpowering Evergreen with a final score of 45-23. Kyambogo found themselves in low spirits again when they battled Ndejje University, ultimately losing 33-47.

Elsewhere in the league, Nkajja suffered a 25-39 defeat against Victoria University (W), while Kawanda faced a similar fate, losing 25-34 to Police (W). Uzalendo, too, could not withstand the might of Police, as they succumbed to a 22-32 loss.

In a twist of fate, Makerere University (W) encountered technical issues that prevented them from competing against UPDF (W), resulting in a walk-over victory for UPDF. Makerere University seemed unprepared for the electrifying pace at which UPDF played, ultimately losing 37-46.

With such dramatic performances and unexpected outcomes in the past weekend, fans can’t help but anticipate what the next weekend of the National Handball Super League will bring.

Will Ndejje University (W) continue their dominating streak, or will another team rise to the occasion? Can Prisons maintain their impressive form, or will Kyambogo University (W) stage a comeback?

The intrigue is palpable, and as elite sports enthusiasts, we eagerly await the excitement and drama that the next weekend promises to deliver. Stay tuned for more action-packed handball as the league unfolds!
