The 2024 FUBA Division One season will come to a close on Friday 7th February as the four remaining teams play in their finals game 7 to determine the winners of the championship.
In the men, the series between Victoria University and Rezlife Saints is tied 3-3, and these are the only losses both these teams have faced in the playoffs.
Victoria University led the series 2-0 but the Saints managed to tie it 2-2 and once again tied it with a good win in game 6.
The tension in this game is expected to be high from the get-go, and Game 6 showed what could happen as a fight broke out and 6 players were ejected.

Victoria has been over-reliant on Joseph Kumbai, who has registered a double-double in 4 of the 6 games, including 20+ points and 20+ rebounds in game 4, despite the defeat.
He averages 15.5 points, 17.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.8 blocks.
He appeared to have been playing through injury in game 6 but with sufficient time having passed, one would hole that he is well.
Rezlife has been doing a lot to try and slow down Kumbai and in this game 6, the same story will be expected as he’s the key for Victoria.
Arnold Kisekka and Gideon Kasasa have come alive offensively in the finals and they have been leading the charges well.
Gideon has registered a double-double in the last 2 games and with his form, he’s expected to cause all sorts of problems for the University side.
He averages 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.67 assists and 2.33 steals in the finals.

Arnold Kisekka has been a consistent scorer for Rezlife, scoring double-digits in all but 1 game.
He averages 14.3 points, 4.16 rebounds, 1.33 assists and 1.5 steals.
The duel between Kumbai and Acinbai Apugi will also be very interesting but these 3 players are the ones who hold the keys.
All the others players have to contribute significantly to put the odds in their favor.
The game will tipoff at 8:00 pm at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

In the other game, Our Savior Banyabo and Nkumba Lady Marines will also be fighting for the championship.
Nkumba led the series 2-0, but Our won 3 in a row to lead the 3-2 before Nkumba leveled it in game 6.
Nkumba heavily relied on their big men, Penlop Amiya and mostly Kayeny Privas who both traveled to the UK to participate in the Vitality Nations Netball Cup.
Nkumba struggled but in game 6, they found a way out.
Nakimuli Catherine upped her game and was supported by Mellisa Kyazze to pick rebounds and also score.
Banyabo looked devoid of energy and that was a point of concern.

However, with 5 days passed now, all the players should be fresh and ready to execute.
Top Performers in this finals so far are Gimbo Barbra for Our Savior and Mellisa Kyazze for Nkumba.
Gimbo has registered a double-double in 4 of the 6 games and averages 12.67 points, 10.67 rebounds, 1.83 assists and 2.5 steals.
Mellisa also averaged a double-double with 12.83 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
Ssengendo Mary Hazel, who left game 6 prematurely after sustaining an injury, is expected to be available, and her presence is a very big threat to Our Savior.
Our Savior will have to find a solution for Shalom Jairah Muwanguzi who almost made a triple-double last time out.
She finished with 10 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists, but what caught the attention of many was how easily she beat the defenders and created for her teammates.

Game 7 tips off at 18:00 at Lugogo Indoor Arena where it all started.
The last time these 2 teams played at Lugogo was in game 1 and Nkumba won the game 63-53, who will have the last laugh in this one?
