Coaches and Players remarks
“Our focus at that point was the fourth quarter. We knew UCU would make a run and all we needed to do was stay calm. We couldn’t get carried away because of a 25-point lead, we had to stay calm all the way” Coach Raymond commented on their lead heading into the fourth quarter.
“We wanted it. I can’t say it’s my performance, it was a team effort” Davis Assimwe commented about his 22 point game performance.
“The plan coming into this game was to limit their rebounds and 3-point attempts and also to take one possession at a time” he added.
“When we watched film, we saw that UCU didn’t have anything special that they did. They just started off well, had a run and maintained it. We saw that our start is everything. It was intentional, coming in hard in the first minutes and we followed the game plan” Caesar Kizito also talked about their plan coming into the game.
This is the only quarter-finals game that has gone to game 3 and the series shall be concluded on Friday 2nd at YMCA Court.
