For the first time in their history, the JT Lady Jaguars completed the double over the KIU Rangers.
On Wednesday 25th, the Lady Jaguars obliterated the Rangers with an 85-54 win, a response to their 30-point loss against the JKL Lady Dolphins.
After scoring 92 against the UPDF Lady Tomahawks in their last game, their was lingering doubt as to whether the Lady Jaguars’ offense would be as efficient against the Rangers and they squashed all doubt.
The first quarter ended 22-16 with the Lady Jaguars in the lead. The Rangers recklessly turned over the ball at the end and this gave the Jaguars some easy baskets.
The same was seen at the end of the second quarter when KIU made 3 consecutive turnovers and JT took a 10-point lead.
There was feeling or tiredness with the Rangers given the recklessness they exposed with their turnovers.
Credit to the Lady Jaguars, they capitalized on the mistakes and by halftime, they led the game 38-26.
At this point in time, the confidence that the Rangers would make a comeback was very low and there was no sign that it would be possible.
