The long-awaited FIBA 3×3 Youth Nations League officially tipped off on Monday 5th August at the Lugogo Hockey Grounds and the Uganda Women and Burkina Faso Men were the dominant forces.
Only 4 of the expected 6 teams were present and it has been confirmed that the Central African Republic pulled out of the competition while South Africa shall be arriving on Tuesday 6th August.
Uganda women finished perfect after winning 2/2, 15:07 against Benin and 18:00 against Algeria.

The girls were very aggressive defensively against Algeria and the latter found it very difficult to score the basketball even missing out on a couple of layups.
Burkina Faso men made light work against Algeria, 22:09 in their opening game and with this same confidence they finished off Benin with ease, 22:08.
The Burkinabes were very lethal from behind the arc and guarding the perimeter will be the biggest assignment for their opponents going forward.
Uganda’s men had a very disappointing start as they lost both their games, 14:17 against Benin and 12:21 against Algeria.
During the game against Benin, the fouls late in the game cost them a lot and Benin, which only has 3 players available was able to capitalise.
