Our Savior Banyabo maintained their hopes of securing the number one seed after making come back to defeat Makerere Sparks 44-39.

It was one of those boring games for the fans and yet frustrating for the coaches as both teams lacked sharpness, and there were plenty of mistakes yet fewer points on the board.

Makerere Sparks started the game very well as they scored 4 of their 5 attempts on their 9-0 run.

A couple of turnovers happened in their next couple of possessions but at the end of the quarter, they led the game 17-10.

Makerere’s offense completely dried up in the second quarter and this opened the window for Our Savior to capitalize.

Makerere scored just 4 points in the second quarter and despite Banyabo making just 2 field goals in that time, they scored some free throws which brought them closer.

It was a similar situation in the third quarter, Makerere couldn’t score yet they kept sending Our Savior to the free throw line.

With 2:17 left in the quarter, Our Savior took the lead and they never looked back.

It was a trade of baskets in the fourth quarter and despite the Sparks trying to create shots, their conversion was bad and Our Savior closed out the victory, 44-39.
