The 2026 NBL has seen a lot of underwhelming performances more so in the women’s games. However, there have been a number of top individual performances in the different games.

As we continue to celebrate the women’s month, senior writer Avitus Ngabirano highlights some of the top individual women’s performances in the 2026 NBL so far.

Mercy Batamuliza vs KIU Rangers

The most recent crazy performance was by Mercy Batamuliza against the KIU Rangers as they won the game 80-47. She registered a staggering 31 rebounds, the most in a game this season.

Mercy was collecting the rebounds as though Thanos in the Avengers End game. To show you how huge this statistic is, she had 9 less rebounds than the entire KIU Rangers team.  Additionally, she had 14 points, 5 assists, 5 steals and 1 block.

Tracy Namugosa vs Nabisunsa

Namugosa has been flying in the 2026 NBL season and will surely be in the conversation for top scorer or even MVP. Against Nabisunsa, she made history as she scored 30 points, the most by any player in a game this season. She added a season-high 9 steals, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Auma Joy vs Miracle Eaglets

Nabisunsa have registered 1 victory this season and it was a resounding one as they scored 97 points against the Miracle Eaglets. The high-school side had 3 players scoring 20+ points in game this season but one player stood out more than others. Auma Joy finished with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals. To make it this statistic look even better, Joy did all this in the last 3 quarters having not featured in the first.

Sharon Kirabo vs Nabisunsa

In their opening game of the season, the KIU Rangers took on Nabisunsa and managed to bag a win although it did not come easy. Two players stood out for KIU; Ines Kanyamuneza and Sharon Kirabo as they each scored 20+ points.

However, Kirabo was also very getting on the defensive end. She registered 22 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Sharon was unstoppable in the paint on offense and her presence was huge for the Rangers.

Ruth Letaru vs Magic Stormers

Letaru has been one of the best signing so far this season and in her first game, she showed why multiple teams were after her in the off-season. She registered 24 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals in her UPDF debut as they defeated the Magic Stormers.

Generous Grant vs UPDF Lady Tomahawks

The 2-time NBL champion has been one of the top players in the season so far. When the Victoria She Crocs made a comeback against the UPDF Lady Tomahawks, she was at the forefront. She was doing a bit of everything and registered 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists.

Martina Anyango vs Magic Stormers

The game between the UCU Lady Canons and the Magic Stormers was one of those games that could have swung either way. However, after trailing in the first quarter, the Lady Canins made a comeback and won 55-48.

The players that helped the Lady Canons most was Martina Anyango. She caused the Stormers very many problems and they had no solution for her. Martina registered 21 points, 16 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 steals. She was also very efficient as she scored 8 of her 14 field goal attempts. Anyango scored 15 of the 35 points for UCU in the second half.

Sharon Kirabo vs Angels

Kirabo has had a couple of good individual performances and she was the x factor as the KIU Rangers defeated Angels. Sharon registered 18 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in that game.

Tracy Namugosa vs JKL Lady Dolphins

Namugosa has scored 20+ points in multiple games this season but her first was special. The KCCA Leopards managed to defeat the defending champions, the JKL Lady Dolphins, in their opening game and Namugosa was the star performer. She registered 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

Nadir Yohanis Susan Peter vs Nabisunsa

Susan had her best performance of the season when the Victoria She Crocs played Nabisunsa. She registered a double-double of 16 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Susan was a menace in the paint gave Nabisunsa a hard time all game long.
